Channels

Session channels are connection resources used when you perform remote control or file transfer. They are divided into Global Channels and Premium Channels.

AskLink operates more than 300 service nodes worldwide to provide a stable and smooth remote control experience for different types of remote connections.

Rules for Using Channels

Scope of Global Channels

When devices in the following countries/regions initiate remote control with devices located outside these regions, Global Channels are required:

• China: Mainland China.
• Other countries/regions: Thailand, Cambodia, the Philippines, Laos, Indonesia, Myanmar, Vietnam.

Scope of Premium Channels

In the following scenarios, Premium Channels are used with priority:

• Remote control between devices in the same country/region.
• All scenarios except those that must use Global Channels.

Global Channels include all the entitlements of Premium Channels. When Premium Channels are insufficient, Global Channels can be used instead.

Rules for Channel Consumption

Starting a remote session with AskLink consumes session channels.
For example, when a device initiates a remote session, the channel consumption rules are as follows:

A remote session window can contain multiple tabs.

Upgrading of Channels

When you first start a remote session within the same region, Premium Channels are used with priority. If you then start an additional cross-region remote session, the Premium Channels will be upgraded to Global Channels, and the previously occupied Premium Channels will be released.

Purchasing Channels

1. In the client, open the Me page and click Remote Channels .
2. Click the Purchase button in the upper-right corner.
   
3. Select Global Channels or Premium Channels , then choose the quantity and billing period.
4. Select the paid service agreement and privacy policy, then click Checkout . After payment is completed, the purchase is successful.
