Thank you for choosing AskLink Remote Software ("AskLink"), developed and maintained by Shanghai Kongkong Technology Co., Ltd. ("we", "us", or "our"). We fully understand the importance of information security and privacy protection and regard them as a core part of our Services.

2.3 Related Services

Including, but not limited to, cloud services, technical support, software updates, and other ancillary services provided by AskLink independently or jointly with our partners.

2.4 Kongkong Account Related Services

Activities relating to your use of the unified account provided and managed by Shanghai Kongkong Technology Co., Ltd. for sign-in, verification, account security management, password recovery, service activation, transaction settlement, and customer support.

We always strive to ensure that our operations comply with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.

However, please understand that we are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party services that are not directly provided or controlled by AskLink, although we will make reasonable efforts to guide users toward safe practices and informed decisions.

3. Information We Collect

To provide better services, optimize product functionality, and ensure service security, we may collect information related to your use of AskLink and associated services.

3.1 Registration Information

When you register for or create an AskLink account, or Kongkong Account, or use related account services, we may collect the following information you provide:

  • Mobile phone number
  • Email address
  • Password

3.2 Device Information

To ensure device security, compatibility, and service stability, we may collect technical information about your device, including:

  • Device models, such as iPhone 15 or Huawei Mate 60
  • Operating systems, such as iOS 15 or Windows 11
  • Device hardware information, including processor and memory
  • Bluetooth device information, used only when connecting authorized peripherals and not collected continuously in the background
  • Android ID
  • Sensor information, including accelerometer, gyroscope, speed sensor, and acceleration sensor

We may also process client version, device name, device type, system version, and network status for purposes such as device identification, connection establishment, compatibility assessment, and troubleshooting.

3.3 Usage Data

To better understand user behavior, optimize remote connection performance, and improve service quality, we may collect the following information:

  • Software usage frequency
  • IP address

  • Android ID

Android ID may be used to synchronize user settings across multiple devices and enhance account security and settings synchronization.

Sensor Information

When you use remote control or related features, AskLink may access accelerometers, gyroscopes, gravity sensors, and other motion-related sensors to identify device orientation, posture, screen rotation, and improve the precision of remote control mouse or controller operations.

Clipboard Information

Clipboard information may be temporarily processed to enable text synchronization between local and remote devices.

In addition, during your actual use of services such as remote connection, device management, screen viewing, file transfer, and clipboard synchronization, we may also record necessary connection logs, session status, error logs, abnormal logs, and security event logs to ensure normal service operation, detect abnormal behavior, and troubleshoot issues.

3.4 Cookies and Similar Technologies

When you use AskLink or visit our official website, we may use Cookies and similar technologies to improve your user experience.

These technologies are mainly used to:

AskLink does not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate authorization. If we become aware that such information has been collected, we will take reasonable steps to delete it promptly.

9. Data Storage and Security

9.1 Storage Location and Retention Period

User data is stored within the territory of the People’s Republic of China and may be subject to cross-border transfer where lawful and compliant requirements are satisfied. After a user cancels an account, we will delete the relevant information within a reasonable period unless otherwise required by law.

The retention period for different types of information may vary depending on service type, compliance requirements, and processing purposes. For example:

  • Account information: retained during the account lifecycle
  • Order and transaction information: retained in accordance with applicable legal and financial requirements
  • Logs and security event records: retained in accordance with service security, dispute handling, and compliance requirements
  • Enterprise logs and recordings: retained in accordance with enterprise service configuration, enterprise rules, and applicable laws and regulations

9.2 Security Measures

We use security measures such as SSL/TLS encryption, multiple firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and regular security reviews and employee training.

Currently, AskLink does not integrate any third-party SDKs for information collection or related operations.

AskLink Software or our official website may contain links to third-party websites or services.

Such third-party platforms are not controlled by AskLink, and their privacy practices are independent of this Privacy Policy. We recommend reviewing their privacy policies before providing personal information.

12. Camera Access Notice

Certain features of the Services may require access to your device camera.

12.1 Identity Verification

To comply with legal requirements and protect account security, AskLink may request access to your camera during identity verification procedures.

Facial images collected during identity verification may constitute sensitive personal information and will only be processed with your separate and explicit consent.

Unless required by law, such information will not be retained after verification is completed.

12.2 QR Code Scanning

To improve convenience and user experience, AskLink may access your camera to scan QR codes when you use features such as:

  • Login authentication; or
  • Device pairing and connection.

Camera data used for QR code recognition will not be stored or used for unrelated purposes.

12.3 Authorization Management

When we access your device camera, the software will explicitly request your authorization. You may revoke such authorization at any time through device settings. If you refuse camera access permission, you may be unable to use the functions that require camera access as described above, but this will not affect your use of other AskLink functions.

We undertake to strictly protect the information you provide through camera authorization and to take necessary security measures to ensure that such information is not accessed, disclosed, or misused without authorization.

12.4 Other Specific Scenarios

If, in the future, camera participation is required in other clearly defined scenarios such as identity verification or enterprise security verification, we will further explain the applicable processing rules to you through separate prompts, page notices, or separate consent mechanisms.

13. Permissions and Functional Explanations

To implement certain functions, we may request system permissions or process necessary information in the relevant scenarios. Where you do not use the relevant function, we will not process the relevant information for that purpose.

13.1 Device Compatibility and Performance Information

When you use AskLink services, we may process necessary device performance-related information, such as device model, operating system version, client version, processor type, and memory information, in order to assess device compatibility, optimize remote connection performance, and troubleshoot crashes or abnormal issues.

13.2 Device Identifier Information

To achieve device identification, account security verification, service stability, and risk control, we may process necessary device identifier information. The type of device identifier used may vary across platforms and is subject to the actual product functions and system capabilities. On Android devices, such identifier information may include Android ID.

13.3 Clipboard

When you actively use the clipboard synchronization feature, we will process the clipboard text content necessary to implement that feature. If the feature is not enabled, we will not process such content for that purpose.

13.4 Device Sensors

When you use functions related to portrait and landscape recognition, orientation detection, or remote control operation optimization, we may process necessary device sensor information to implement the relevant functions.

13.5 Bluetooth

When you actively use functions related to Bluetooth peripheral connections, we may process the relevant Bluetooth information to the extent necessary to implement those functions.

13.6 File Access Permission

When you actively use functions such as file transfer, import and export, file saving, or reading designated files, we may request file access permission to complete the corresponding operation.

13.7 Notification Permission

When you wish to receive connection reminders, abnormal event alerts, service messages, or other notifications, we may request notification permission to send such reminders to you.

13.8 Local Network Permission

When you use functions such as local area network discovery, LAN connection, or local device identification, we may request local network-related permissions to implement the corresponding functions.

14. Data Boundary Statement for Remote Control

AskLink is a remote control product, and relevant functions may involve device access, screen viewing, file transfer, clipboard synchronization, and input operations. In this regard, we further explain as follows:

  1. Unless you actively use the relevant function, an enterprise administrator lawfully configures the relevant function, applicable laws require it, or you otherwise authorize it, we do not actively view or store your remote screen content, file content, clipboard content, or input content.
  2. To ensure service stability and security and to troubleshoot issues, we may record necessary connection logs, error logs, and security incident information.
  3. If enterprise services enable log auditing, session recording, file transfer records, or clipboard policies, the relevant data may be managed and used by the enterprise organization. The enterprise organization shall fulfill the corresponding obligations of notice, authorization, and management in accordance with law.

15. Changes and Updates to the Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our Services, technologies, legal obligations, or business practices.
