Channel

A channel is the connection resource used during Remote Control or File Transfer.

AskLink operates nearly 300 service nodes worldwide to deliver stable and smooth remote experiences for different connection scenarios.

Channel types

Global Channel allows Remote Control of target devices in any country/region.

• Examples: China to UK, UK to Japan, etc.

When Professional members use Global Channels, connections between Mainland China and International regions use dedicated international lines.

Premium Channel is limited to intra‑region connections only. The regions are Mainland China and International.

• Examples: Any connection within Mainland China, or UK to UK, etc.

Channel occupancy rules

A channel is occupied when you start a remote session in AskLink.
Example: When a device initiates remote control, channel usage follows the table below:

One Remote Session window can contain multiple tabs.

Channel upgrade

When starting an intra‑region connection, the Premium Channel is used first. If another cross‑region connection is started afterwards, the Premium Channel will be upgraded to a Global Channel, and the previously occupied Premium Channel will be released.

Purchase channels

1. Open the client My page and click channel .
2. Click Purchase in the top‑right corner.
   
3. Select Global Channel or Premium Channel , then choose the quantity and billing cycle.
4. Check the Paid Service Agreement and Privacy Policy, then click Checkout . After payment, the purchase is complete.
